About us

The association has set up a museum collection of Children's art with the support of prominent representatives of Hungarian contemporary art, art teachers, museum professionals, art historians and families who advocate children art activities. All children's art work is valuable and we welcome them all over the world. Art experts of the trustees have a look the received works and after their opinion these go to one of the different themed collections. This is the way to grow the First Hungarian Museum of Children's art steadily. So far, from 7 countries the thousands of works received, which we digitize, cataloge and preserve. Beside the permanent virtual space, recognized hungarian art galleries and museums have been presented children art works in different parts of the country (Gyula, Kecskemét, Budapest). Our thematic collections include adult-child couples collection, their pieces were presented with great success in Kecskemét Art Gallery.

This is the first time Maria and I go to school. To tell the truth, I am very nervous because I think I am too special for children therefore maybe they will not like me.  Fortunately, Hungarian people in Kecskemét are very friendly and lovely.

I have a very good impression at the first art class. Children are all very cute. They asked me to write some traditional Chinese characters.  Also, they are two children asked me to write their name on their pictures.  Moreover, some children write the Chinese characters on their pictures such as 匈牙, 韋, and 火. It is very interesting for me.  I think they probably thought that these characters looks like pictures.  For me, it is really fantastic memory.

After the first class, I seriously think that if I have some magic power can help me to communicate with children, that will be how wonderful because I really want to talk with them or help Mariann more.
Because I study the university of education, I am confident that I can control the class well.  However, when the teacher and students cannot communicate with each other, I cannot do anything professional.  I am really sorry.  Hope I can help more.

This is what I usually work at home, scanning the pictures!!
I can see clearly that children are really good at drawing.

In our second class, children need to design their own business cards.  I helped them to translate their name into Traditional Chinese characters and write names down on their business cards.
This time I had more time to understand what I can do and I try to communicate with children.  I am so happy that although I can only use simple English words and my body language to express my feeling, I still chat with some children successfully.  It made me feel extremely happy although I usually think that if I can speak Hungarian, I will like to chat a lot with them and I want to be their good friend.  Thanks to my lovely partner, Mariann, and fantastic boss, Maria, always help me to tell what I am talking to children.
Moreover, when the class dismissed, children said "good bye TingWei" to me.  I was so touched at that moment.

In the third week, I thought that I did not do anything special.  I just did everything I can do.
However, the activity after drawing this time was designed by me and we seriously had lots of fun when we were playing the game.  I am so delightful that everyone like this activity so much.  We laughed and played together.  I can totally feel that I am one of the member in this class because I can understand what are they doing.  Therefore, I feel really happy.

Lucky student who got the gift! Haha!

The last class was designed by me!
I prepared a very special class which combined art and culture together.  I brought lots of things about Taiwan and showed to them such as special Chinese toys and Taiwanese food and chopsticks and brushes and so on.  They can try to use them or eat them in this class.  I seriously hoped every child will enjoy this final class so I prepared many things.  Moreover, the most important thing was that I taught them how to make a lantern in Chinese style.  In the end, we took a photo together.

I am so happy to have a chance to meet a lot of lovely people and cute children in Hungary.
I love here.
I hope I will visit here soon in the future.
